Should I apply ToeGrips® to all of my dog’s nails?

Many dog owners wonder whether it’s really necessary to apply ToeGrips® to all of their dog’s nails – especially after surgery or in older dogs.

We recommend applying ToeGrips® to all 16 nails that typically make contact with the ground. This means dewclaws and rear dewclaws are generally not fitted with ToeGrips®.

In certain cases, dogs may benefit from wearing ToeGrips® only on their eight rear nails – for example, a generally healthy and active dog recovering from cruciate ligament surgery.

Unsure which option is right for your dog?

If in doubt, consult your veterinary physiotherapist or vet to find the most suitable option for your dog.
